Job Description

  • Performs analysis and design of communication systems.
  • Works closely with Program Management, taking key role in providing technical interface with the customer. 
  • Takes a senior role and assumes complete project responsibility as a Project Engineer (PE).  
  • Responsible for engineering and other technical activities relating to the project. 
  • Ensures the project is completed according to project plan. 
  • Manages project team resources which includes inter-discipline coordination. 
  • Responsible and accountable to ensure that all assigned personnel are coordinating their activities with other project participants, and that the requirements of the Contract are being satisfied.
  • Sufficient technical knowledge and awareness of details to be able to recognize when technical problems are developing in the various disciplines, and to initiate appropriate corrective actions.
  • Performs and reviews systems analysis against performance requirements
  • Designs systems to meet performance requirements
  • Generates and reviews system integration plans
  • Participates in preparing cost summaries and writing technical documents for bids and proposals
  • Responsible for the design, planning, scheduling, conducting and coordinating all technical activities of the project.
  • Coordinates with the Program Manager to resolve any technical and/or schedule issues related to the project.
  • Provides regular project status updates to Program Manager and Senior Management
  • Accountable for the successful completion of engineering project
  • Participating in Client/contractor meetings and resolving Client/engineering and management project issues
  • Creation and Maintenance of the Project File Folder

Job Skills

  • Must have a thorough understanding of communications theory and systems
  • Tracking and reporting project progress including tracking budgets
  • Ability to lead a technical team in a fast pace environment
  • Familiarity with environmental requirements & packaging techniques
  • Must have or be able to obtain a passport and be available for business travel
  • BSEE degree minimum, Master degree preferred.
  • At least 5 to 10 years of telecom industry experience
