Job Description
• Provides execution of and necessary support for QA Compliance-related activities during the advanced supplier selection and development process.
• Performs external and internal quality assurance audits to ISO 9001: 2000, ISO17025, AS9100, NADCAP and other applicable Standards to ensure compliance to corporate and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure effective corrective action closure by working with applicable personnel to ensure comprehensive development and execution of action(s) with regards to any nonconformities cited during audits.
• Assist in development, review and approval of process validation/qualifications
• Participation in continuous improvement activity and process re-engineering projects in support of process Improvement initiatives.
• Ensures that all work locations are in conformance to ISO 9001: 2000/AS 9100 standards.
• Facilitate training to support the Quality Management System (QMS).
• Assist in the implementation of QMS standards and initiatives.
• Identifies opportunities for continuous improvements in operations and procedures.
• Implements continuous improvement initiatives within the organization.
• Be successful regarding multi-tasking in a very fast-paced environment.
Job Skills
• B. S. Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering preferred and a minimum of five (5) years of related experience.
• Internal or Lead Auditor certification (ASQ/QA/CQE) required.
• Must be familiar with CAD, word processing and spreadsheets.
• Working knowledge of SPC and Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing techniques a plus.
• Resourcefulness, motivational and leadership skills.
• Capable of mentoring employees.
• Ability to elicit a team environment.
• Have strong negotiation, organizational and written/verbal communication skills.
