Job Description

• Performs final Audit inspection of printed circuit boards as directed by Manager of Quality Assurance.
• Reviews Customer Documentation to ensure compliance to Customer requirements.
• Prepares First article reports for assemblies that are First time Builds. Reviews inspection reports to ensure all inspection process steps have ben fulfilled. Ensures inspection data is available and complete.
• May be required to perform other duties such as First Piece inspections, In-Processes inspections, Receiving inspection functions, or as directed by the Manager of Quality Assurance.
• Reports to designated work area prior to the start of shift.
• Organizes work load, and prepares for the start of the shift.
• Reviews process documentation for any special requirements.

• Enter Production into EVO
• Enter Labor into EVO
• Inspects material to process documentation.
• Inspects material to IPC – 610 /J STD Workmanship criteria.
• Identifies missing or wrong components
• Identifies missing or insufficient solder joints
• Identifies poor workmanship issues.
• Interfaces with touch-up personnel to resolve issues.
• Interfaces with production manager on resolution of Quality issues.
• Prepares inspection reports.
• Ensures that work area is kept clean and that safety rules are followed.
• Participates in company or special training classes with emphasis on employee Improvement.
• Reports to the Manager of Quality Assurance.

Job Skills

• Must have a High School Education.
• Experience utilizing IPC 610/J STD Standard required.
• Ability to read and understand Engineering documentation.
• Ability to determine critical points of inspection.
• Ability to use simple electrical test and measurement instruments.
• Ability to identify component values.
• Ability to work with microscope or loupe.
• Working knowledge of IPC 610/J-STD.
• Working knowledge of Surface Mount assembly and Inspection.
• Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Must be able to develop a good rapport with other departmental members.
• Skillful presentation of work issues to prevent negative reactions.
