Job Description
- Digital circuit card design and development
- Component selection
- Analysis of power consumption, component stress, worst case tolerances, and reliability
- Digital logic design and simulation using VHDL
- Digital communication algorithm development and implementation
- Digital and analog video generation
- Technical presentations
- Product manufacturing and verification support
- Digital systems design using VHDL to develop and implement digital wireless receivers, transmitters, transponders, and launch vehicle avionics equipment.
Job Skills
- Preferred experience: Developing algorithms for digital signal processing, forward error correction coding and decoding, encryption/decryption, waveforms and data protocols in FPGAs are desired. System modeling and simulation capabilities utilizing MatLab/ Simulink and ModelSim/Questa tools.
- Working in teams to generate technical proposals, present at design reviews, perform requirements development, system architecture development, system partitioning, assessing system performance using analysis, simulation, and laboratory testing
- Desired Skills and Familiarity: VHDL; MATLab/Simulink; DxDesigner or equivalent schematic capture tools; ModelSim/Questa or equivalent logic simulation tools; Libero (Microsemi), Quartus (Altera), Vivado (Xilinx) FPGA development tools; DDR3 memory interfacing; GigE, 10GigE, GigE Vision; High speed serial, digital interfaces, SERDES; SPI, I2C, RS-422, LVDS
- BSEE, BSEET, or BSECE degree.
- At least five years of Engineering work experience is required.
- Must be able to pass a background and drug screening
