Job Description

• Provide support to engineering and purchasing for procurement and selection of parts and materials, prepare nonstandard part and material submittals, interface and work with inside and outside labs to interpret test results and define testing for the purposes of assuring that parts are compliant to requirements.
• Perform technical reviews of material/component quality documentation including supplier data, test results, etc. to assure conformance to stated requirements
• Review design to determine suitability of selected components in system environments.
• Review design of existing components to determine suitability of replacement components due to obsolescence of existing components.
• Analyze component test data for adherence to specifications and requirements.\
• Interface with component vendors regarding technical issues that arise relative to screening, rescreening and qualification of components.
• Interface with manufacturing personnel to provide timely responses to any questions that may arise during assembly, test and failure analysis at CCA and system level.
• Perform varied technical assignments related to components of a general professional nature.
• Work under limited supervision.
• Ability to analyze component failures to root cause level.

Job Skills

• Familiarity with writing 6-part Source Control or Selected Item Drawings.
• Knowledge of MIL-PRF-19500, MIL-PRF-38534, MIL-PRF-38535, MIL-STD-202, MIL-STD-750 and MIL-STD-883 as well as MIL passive component requirements is essential. Experience with both standard and space level military components preferred but not mandatory.
• Must be capable of reviewing DPA Reports performed to MIL-STD-1580. An individual having performed DPA is preferred but knowledge of DPA test intent and results is acceptable.
• B.S. Electrical Engineering with 7-10 years experience in the field.
• Must be able to pass background and drug screening.
