Job Description
- Provide leadership and direction to ensure that resources are available for the completion of established operational goals and objectives.
- Responsible for the operational metrics of production rates and cycles, productivity and quality/continuous improvements.
- Lead, promote and manage a safe work environment and will be accountable for driving year-over-year cost productivity targets including Company SCORECARD metrics.
- Proactively implements performance management processes and tools effectively across multiple cells and works cooperatively and productively with entire operations.
- Promotes change, keen interest in driving business goals, and embraces continuous improvement.
- Actively participates in budgeting, tooling, capital planning and process improvement.
- Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills required. Must have a proven track record of successful interactions with other employees throughout the organization.
- Must be results oriented, have a strong bias for action, be self-motivated and self-directed.
- Skilled in talent management including the ability to develop, train, coach, and mentor hourly production employees. Able to set clear expectations, goals and hold employees accountable.
- Proven ability to resolve employee grievances and work cooperatively with peers and management.

- Working knowledge and implementation of 6S and lean manufacturing principles.

- Resolve manufacturing and maintenance problems to prevent operational delays.
- Able to conceptualize and analyze problems/opportunities. Will integrate and apply tools to manufacturing processes and have a fundamental knowledge of supply chain processes/practices.
- Strong PC skills including Microsoft Office applications are required.
- Coordinating manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets customer specification(s). Candidate must have the ability to develop and/or revise standard operational and working practices and procedures. Will observe workers to ensure compliance with standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Manufacturing or Engineering field preferred or equivalent.
- 5+ years of supervisory experience in a fast-paced precision manufacturing environment.
- Experience with ISO or QS 9000 systems, global manufacturing, six-sigma and lean manufacturing background is a plus.
