Job Description

  • Provide leadership and direction to ensure that resources are available for the completion of established operational goals and objectives. 
  • Responsible for the operational metrics of production rates and cycles, productivity and quality/continuous improvements.
  • Lead, promote and manage a safe work environment and will be accountable for driving year-over-year cost productivity targets including Company SCORECARD metrics. 
  • Proactively implements performance management processes and tools effectively across multiple cells and works cooperatively and productively with entire operations.
  • Promotes change, keen interest in driving business goals, and embraces continuous improvement. 
  • Actively participates in budgeting, tooling, capital planning and process improvement. 
  • Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills required.  Must have a proven track record of successful interactions with other employees throughout the organization.  
  • Must be results oriented, have a strong bias for action, be self-motivated and self-directed.
  • Skilled in talent management including the ability to develop, train, coach, and mentor hourly production employees.  Able to set clear expectations, goals and hold employees accountable. 
  • Proven ability to resolve employee grievances and work cooperatively with peers and management.

  • Resolve manufacturing and maintenance problems to prevent operational delays.
  • Able to conceptualize and analyze problems/opportunities.  Will integrate and apply tools to manufacturing processes and have a fundamental knowledge of supply chain processes/practices.
  • Strong PC skills including Microsoft Office applications are required.
  • Coordinating manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets customer specification(s).  Candidate must have the ability to develop and/or revise standard operational and working practices and procedures.  Will observe workers to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Manufacturing or Engineering field preferred or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of supervisory experience in a fast-paced precision manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with ISO or QS 9000 systems, global manufacturing, six-sigma and lean manufacturing background is a plus.
