Job Description
- Responsible for performing a wide variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations on assemblies or sub-assemblies.
- Comprehends and interprets a variety of technical specifications, terms and documents.
- Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering and cable harnessing on assembly units.
- Makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications.
- Critical placement of RF shields for RF performance – custom build and modification of RF shields
- Complex harness builds, wire splicing per IPC and drawing requirements
- Cable lacing including broomstitch methods
- Coax wire stripping and forming to precise bend radiuses
- P1 Connector fine pitch soldering
- Ability to rework cards on hotplate to allow for appropriate reflow
- Epoxy and RTV application
- Ability to understand and interpret drawings and parts lists and interact with engineering
Job Skills
- This position may require occasional weekend, off-shift, and overtime work.
- IPC-610 Solder and IPC-620 Cable certification required
- 2 years’ experience with precise soldering skills for sensitive RF performance
- 2 years of experiencing with tuning RF circuitry with solder, metallic tape, etc. – this is a complex skill that requires experience with RF technology
- 2 years’ experience using multiple solder tips to access tight areas
- High School/GED
- Must be able to pass background and drug screening.
