Job Description
• Perform mechanical design contributing to new product development as well as design maintenance and troubleshooting of existing products. Perform tolerance study to determine worst case fit, and ensure that worst case conditions do not impede producibility and thermal or electrical performance.
• Execute drawing updates, author and follow ECO instructions.
• Detail mechanical drawings.
• Participate in initial mechanical design concept and design improvements of existing products.
• Operate vibration equipment and take surveys.
• Review outstanding ECO activity.
• Provide updated documentation in a timely manner.
• Design for Manufacturing support (DFM).
• Manufacturing tooling and fixture support.
Job Skills
• Four year mechanical degree and a basic understanding of electronics and electronic components
• Effectively communicate both written and verbally in the English language.
• Experience with 3D modeling software.
• Proficient at reading and understanding customer specifications and SOW.
• Contribute to formal reports.
