Job Description
• Tests and inspects product at various stages of production process and compiles/evaluates
• Inspection data to determine quality and reliability of products.
• Responsible for creating and performing AS9102 First Article Inspection and reviewing first articles provided by sub-tier suppliers for completeness.
• Performs inspections at specific stages in production process of parts such as receiving, final and in-process, and inspects products for variety of qualities, such as dimensions, performance, and mechanical characteristics. Performs first piece and in-process inspection
• Create and populate AS9102 First Article Inspection documents/forms.
• Records inspection and test data and information in company systems, receiving or final inspection log as necessary and maintains final certification package files such that traceability is maintained in accordance with approved procedures.
• Interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confers with Quality Director and Engineering Staff when a discrepancy or question arises.
• Use of company ERP system, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, required in daily activities.
• Maintains various electronic logs and scan documents for traceability.
• Records all direct and indirect labor performed using ERP system and traveler to work on jobs and indirect codes for other QC related traceability.
Job Skills
• Must be comfortable working as an independent contributor/contractor with limited supervision.
• Minimum 5+ Years First Article Inspection experience in accordance with AS9102 standard and knowledge of applicable industry standards like IPC-A-610 or equivalent.
• Must have Military/Aerospace Experience
• Must be extremely organized and detailed oriented
• Due to ITAR compliance, US citizenship or foreign residency required.
