Job Description
• Responsible for coordinating, evaluating and tracking component ECO and FA reports. In support of engineering and operations, ensure corrective actions are implemented, assist in finding alternate sources and track component qualifications.
• Analyze component failure trends.
• Drive corrective actions to closure.
• Resolve technical component and board issues.
• Calculate MTBF product data.
• Assist in identifying and resolving manufacturing problems.
• Track part lifecycles and drive qualifications of EOL/Obsolete component solutions.
• Review BOM’s for obsolescence.
• Flag in-accurate component data in Agile PLM and CAD databases.
• Support and implement cost improvement projects.
• Understand component temperature derating.
Job Skills
• BS in Electronic Engineer or related Engineering/Technical discipline
• High level of competence in General Electronic Technologies (composition, standards, process and properties)
• Practical experience in deploying engineering skills in industry with a good knowledge of electronic components
• Contacts and experience with electronic components marketplace and manufacturers is a plus
• Good interpersonal, communication (both Written and Verbal) and professional skills
• Ability to negotiate solutions to complex business and technical problems
• Ability to calculate MTBF required
• Both written and spoken fluently in English
