Job Description
• Under limited supervision, the Assembler/Wirer will perform wiring, soldering and assembly operations on difficult and complex subassemblies, final assemblies and harnesses.
• Read and interpret complex wiring diagrams, color codes, prints and wire list.
• Build harnesses of high complexity.
• Utilizing a high degree of proficiency, wire and solder various components within circuits and chassis.
• Perform mechanical assembly of high complexity chassis’ and final assemblies.
• Occasionally employ basic knowledge of electrical theory and its application to basic wiring and testing using voltage and ohmmeters.
• May be required to perform continuity checks and rework.
• Ability to work to IPC Manufacturing Standards.
Job Skills
• High School or technical trade school graduate preferred, or training in military service.
• Minimum of five (5) years recent wiring experience.
• IPC Certification preferred.
• Must be fluent in written English. Good interpersonal skills required to interface with various inter departmental personnel.
• Must be knowledgeable and able to utilize all assembly tools such as soldering irons, pliers, cutters, etc.
