Job Description
• Performs supplier quality assurance activities focusing on supply chain compliance to various customer and regulatory/government requirements, rules and regulations.
• Ensures compliance to counterfeit parts control standards, Quality Management System standards, REACH & RoHS/Lead-free requirements, Boeing QMS requirements, conflict minerals rule, specialty metals restrictions and the ISO 14000 standard.
• Improve new supplier introduction, qualification and approval processes
• Travel required
Job Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technical discipline.
• 9-12 years related experience and/or training.
• Experience in managing small projects; project management training a plus
• Ability to use and facilitate the use of Lean Six Sigma tools and techniques throughout the supply chain; particularly at the Green Belt level, including PFMEA, Gage R & R, SPC and capability studies.
• Detailed knowledge of ISO-9001/AS-9100 and AS-9102 requirements, AS5553, 6018 and related aerospace & defense standards.
• Detailed knowledge of IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620, IPC-A-600 requirements in a capacity to make nonconforming material decisions.
• Knowledge of Manufacturing processes for advanced electronic and electromechanical assemblies.
• Knowledge of Advances Quality Planning (APQP)/Control Plans.
• Knowledge of Process and Compliance Auditing.
• Ability to use inspection/test measurement equipment.
• Familiarity with the Microsoft software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Must be a US citizen, with the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
