Job Description

• Supervise and administer the resources of the operations to optimize its effective and efficient direction and use
• Manage all aspects of the Organization’s manufacturing operations.
• Coordinate cross-departmental and functional areas to exceed strategic objectives and dashboard KPI’s
• Monitor results and necessities of operational departments
• Continuously review needs and requests to align with financial soundness of a Manufacturing of Excellence Operations
• Establish and enforce Operations policies
• Lead the organization – model, involve and commit
• Coordinate major budgetary projects including justification, deployment and implementation
• Hold regular standard work meetings to drive company de México objectives
• Manage and ensure compliance with ethical conduct and Employee Manual
• Develop and implement plans to efficiently utilize materials, labor and equipment
• Ensure that all parts, assemblies and final products are produced on schedule and according to established requirements
• Work with production team to develop manufacturing and production plans, schedules and targets
• Ensure manufacturing performance and quality goals are met
• Manage the activities of first-level managers, supervisors and individual contributors
• Responsible for hiring, terminations, performance appraisals and pay reviews for direct reports
• Review capacity and schedule all departments utilizing level loading and KB tools
• Drive continuous process improvements through lean/six sigma methodologies
• Work with Operations team to improve GP/CM

Job Skills

• Electro-Mechanical understanding and experience: knowledge of PCB, Cables, XFMR, Metal fabrication, top level assembly and test
• Bilingual: English and Spanish (100%)
• Understand and deploy Lean Manufacturing solutions
• Understand Materials and Inventory Management concepts as well as supply chain development
• Knowledge and understanding of ISO certification processes: ISO 9001-2008 and ISO 14001-2004. Knowledge of ISO13485 a plus
• Cultivate a positive and respectful work environment by developing strong relationships with internal and external customers
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration
• Master Degree a plus
• DFT/Lean Certification preferred
• Six Sigma Green or Black Belt preferred
• Lean and Six Sigma training a plus
• APICS a plus – inventory and materials management a plus
• Required computer skills: Microsoft Project, Word, Power-point, Excel, ERP systems
• Leadership qualities and excellent team building skills
• 15 + years of manufacturing experience with a minimum of 5 years in a management role
• 5 + years of Maquila Experience
• Experience working with union personnel and labor contracts
• Working knowledge of Labor and Environmental Laws. Willing to learn and understand Mexican requirements
