Job Description

  • Perform analysis, research, product design and support of fabrication and test processes.
  • Must coordinate development activities and engineering personnel and resources to ensure performance to cost, schedule and technical requirements.
  • Successful candidates will demonstrate creativity as well as industry leading design solutions.
  • Design, develop, modify and evaluate complex products, magnetic components and /or systems. Conceives methods and alternatives for satisfying product goals, specifications and requirements.
  • Coordinate and conduct periodic project reviews with management and customers.
  • Open to travel as required.
  • Preparation of technical support for proposals.
  • Coordinate work and provide leadership to engineering staff assigned to projects. Provide training and mentoring.
  • Develop schematics, support PC board design and organize documentation package for release.
  • Write test plans and test procedures, design test fixtures and plan the fabrication of fixtures.
  • Manage projects to meet cost and schedule goals.
  • Program embedded micro controllers using assembly and C.
  • Support programming of automated test equipment using high level language such as CVI or C#.
  • Prepare formal publication quality reports and mathematical analysis to ensure products meet design goals
  • Responsible to ensure successful product design from concept through production.

Job Skills

  • BS in Engineering (MS Preferred). Ten (10) years’ experience required.
  • Expert knowledge of Power Supply Topologies.
  • Expert knowledge of EMI (Electromagnetic Interference) filter design.
  • Perform SPICE and mathematical analysis.
  • Digital control and firmware experience required.
  • Knowledge of Military Specifications related to power conversion.
  • PCB layout skills a plus.
  • Must have good oral and written communication skills within the English language.
  • Self-motivated, and possess a high degree of curiosity and desire to learn new things.
  • Ability to take initiative and multi-task within a fast-paced environment.
