Job Description

• Excellent analytical skills.
• Ability to work with other departments.
• Review and adjust inventory levels to meet or exceed company goals for inventory turns and customer satisfaction.
• Adjust MRP techniques, forecasting formulas, safety stock calculations, etc. to meet or exceed company goals for inventory turns and customer satisfaction.
• Work with purchasing and production to ensure items are properly set up within ERP
• Manage cycle count program. Review inventory discrepancies.
• Identify, recommend and implement changes to improve productivity and reduce cost and scrap.
• Recommend manufacturing policies and programs that guide the organization in maintaining and improving its competitive position and profitability of the operation.
• Review costs of jobs on regular basis so that corrections are more quickly made and reasons for higher costs are not forgotten.
• Achieve optimum employee levels with the least amount of overhead and raw material costs.
• Maintain up-to-date burden rates for machines
• Set and audit standards for production
• Aid in planning work assignments in accordance with worker performance, machine capacity, production schedules, and anticipated delays.
• Apply statistical methods and perform product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement (including scrap and nonconforming product), and improved efficiency.

Job Skills

• Conduct lean kaizen events. Verify successful implementation and sustainability.
• Initiate, direct and coordinate various programs/projects essential to the company’s goal of continuous improvement.
• Assist with company quality compliance to ISO 9001 standards. Includes: auditing, training, documentation and implementation.
• Assist MIS with support of IT infrastructure. Includes: hardware support for network, servers, PCs, scanners, switches, routers; managing and supporting efforts with ERP, WMS, virus/spam protection and desktop software.
• Manage safety program. Maintain SHARP status. Includes: auditing, training, documentation.
• Industrial Engineering degree with 1-2 years experience.
• Experience in Production planning, ISO management, inventory control, IT network support
