Job Description
- Schematic entry to engineers’ directions.
- Design PCBs to meet mechanical and electrical constraints dictated by a mechanical designer and engineer.
- Import and export electronic files for comparison in several software packages such as PCB design software and Drafting software.
- Perform drafting work on AutoCad.
- Expert level maintaining component libraries for PCB design software.
- Generate BOM to match schematic.
- Process ECO’s. Review material on order and work in process to recommend cost effective solutions.
- Satisfy future needs of company in terms of design and drafting and production support.
Job Skills
- 10+ years designing PCB’s to UL1950, MIL-STD-275, and IPC-610
- Two year Mechanical of Electrical technical degree
- Technical training in drafting standards.
- Technical training in PCB and drafting software.
- Fluent use of auto-router and auto placement feature of design software while maintaining design constraints.
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge of Autodesk inventor or other 3D modeling software.
- Proficient in written and spoken English.
