Job Description
- Management, technically and administratively, of a department of three PCB designers, two to three mechanical designers, three documentation clerks.
- Mechanical design from concept to final drawings in Inventor, Autocad.
- Actual design in PADS from engineering schematics, review and approval of layout of PCBs (surface-mount and conventional through-hole). Designs per IPC standards.
- Responsibility for control of Document Configuration. Review and disposition ECOs.
- Experience: must have worked in similar position for 5 to 10 years
Job Skills
- Working knowledge of Inventor, Autocad, PADS, and general MS Office
- Hands-on experience in designing mechanical chassis’, housings, and other mechanical parts used in packaging electronics for military and space
- Full knowledge of mechanical drawings conventions and standards
- Knowledge of geometric dimensioning
- Working knowledge of tolerance analysis
- IPC CID or CID+ certification preferred
- Thorough knowledge of design for efficient and economic NC machining
