Job Description
- Responsible for the design of military electronic hardware with a strong digital logic background including VHDL coded FPGA design and high speed digital design.
- Efforts included design and development of advanced digital signal processing techniques and algorithms for ESM signal processing/characterization and ECM waveform modulation/synthesis using FPGA/DSP technologies
- Minimum 10 years of FPGA design experience are required.
- Must be proficient with the Xilinx ISE design, Allegro, Verilog design, Altera, Microsemi, Lattice environment for end to end design development including CoreGen (DSP, Ethernet, PCI, Rocket IO, and high speed transceiver cores), PlanAhead, Timing Analyzer, Power Estimator, etc.
- Ability to write thorough VHDL Test Benches for design verification using ModelSim as well as effective constraints files to achieve timing closure is required.
Job Skills
- Familiarity with HDL Designer is a plus.
- Experience with Allegro Signal Integrity Analysis tools and simulation is a plus.
- Familiarity with embedded processing, DSP, A/D and D/A converters, and hardware communication over a high speed VPX, PCI/cPCI/VME interface is a plus.
- Working knowledge of standard bench-top test equipment and the ability to conduct hardware verification and debug.
- Methodical and detail oriented approach to problem solving as well as excellent written and oral communication skills is essential.
- The ability to obtain a security clearance is required.
- To qualify, you must have a BSEE (MSEE preferred), 10 years min of FPGA design experience.
- Must be able to pass background and drug screening.
