Job Description

  • Responsible for receiving product, checking against purchase orders, and logging into the ERP system
  • Load and unload material within the warehouse or manufacturing facility
  • Use hand trucks, forklifts, or other handling equipment to move materials
  • Request and track materials and parts ordered
  • Initiate, answer & document tracking inquiries when requested via email and/or fax
  • Conducts and reports cycle counts
  • Analyzes and, when able, corrects cycle count discrepancies. Audits incoming shipments to assure accuracy
  • Monitors production rate and reviews stock records
  • Kitting, when needed
  • Assure orders and shipping quantities match picking documents through careful audit of said documents
  • Assist & evaluate needs with shipping points, services, weights & freight permits, and other information needed
  • Process necessary invoices to appropriate office for payment; monitor the supply of packaging materials and requisition additional supplies as required
  • Ensure proper shipment of inventory (bagging, identification, proper protection, location, etc.) and coordinate with carriers and freight forwarders to schedule pick-up of goods
  • Work with others as a team and/or independently on accurately pulling/issuing and timely delivery of parts/material to departments, to meet production schedule
  • Follow shop safety rules and guidelines; participate in end of shift clean up
  • Use computer software to research company information

Job Skills

  • High School degree or equivalent; Associates degree preferred
  • Three to five (3-5) years of experience in a production control environment, or equivalent.
  • Familiar with production environment and procedures.
  • Experienced in physical inventory process as well as cycle counts.
  • Knowledge of ERP/MRP – PC and spreadsheet programs (Microsoft Excel) preferred
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret inventory reports, procedure manuals and regulations.
  • Must be able to pass background and drug screening.
