Job Description

  • Ability to read schematics and cable drawings. Able to construct engineering prototypes and circuit changes for electronic printed circuit board assemblies. Manufacture cable and wiring harnesses to support engineering and production test fixtures and systems.
  • Solder components and jumper wires for prototyping, while using a microscope.
  • Build Mil-Spec cables, cable harnesses, and fixtures as necessary to support engineering and production testing.
  • Implement engineering design changes on products as directed by engineering department.
  • Layout prototype design changes as to comply with IPC standards.
  • Assemble circuit card assemblies and ruggedized chassis.

Job Skills

  • Surface mount micro soldering experience required.
  • IPC J-STD-001 certification preferred.
  • Tech School education or on-the-job training in a manufacturing test or engineering laboratory environment.
  • Good mechanical skills; can build fixtures and use limited power tools.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience preferred.
  • Proficient in the English language, both written and verbal.
  • Read and edit CAD drawings and circuit schematics.
