Job: #13423 – Supplier Quality Assurance Director

Establish and attain Quality performance goals and improvement objectives for the company.
Ensure compliance with customer requirements, regulatory agency, government regulations, contract specifications, and company policies/procedures.
Effectively represent the company at customer, regulatory agency and internal meetings. Interface with suppliers for production non-conforming product control and disposition processes.
Provide support and leadership for supplier development initiatives.
Development/management of inspection processes and tools (receiving/source).
Responsible for performing Process Validation Audits at critical suppliers.
Develop suppliers such that they are able to control their processes through the use of FMEAs, Control Plans, capability studies, corrective action systems, gage calibration systems, gage studies and preventive maintenance systems.
Ensure proper identification and flow-down of customer requirements to suppliers.

BA/BS Degree in Engineering or other related technical field; Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum of 18 years in Quality Assurance and Supplier Management positions with at least 12 years management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Proficiency in statistical process analysis, process improvement tools such as Design of Experiment, and Six Sigma is highly desired.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma tools (Black Belt preferred)
Intimate knowledge of ISO 9001/AS9100 Quality Management Systems and ISO 14000 Environmental Management System
Must demonstrate strategic understanding of effective supplier management systems
Strong technical background in complex electronics and manufacturing processes, engineering specifications and quality standards
Strong background in Root Cause Analysis, investigation and corrective action implementation
Must be willing to travel up to 50% of the time
