Job Description
• Performs complex wiring, PC board assembly, soldering and SMT assembly of subassemblies and final assembles. • Reads and interprets complex wiring diagrams, color codes, schematics and wire lists. • Builds harness of high complexity. • Terminates various multi-conductor and coaxial cables. • Utilizing a high degree of proficiency wires and solders various components within circuits and chassis. • Performs mechanical assembly of high complexity chassis and cabinets. • Occasionally employs basic knowledge of electrical theory and its application to basic wiring and testing using voltage and ohmmeters. • Makes critical RF cable assemblies such as: Heliax cable, RF cable and elliptical waveguide terminations.
Job Skills
• May be required to perform continuity checks and rework. • High School or technical trade school graduate preferred, or training in military service graduate. Minimum of five (5) years recent wiring experience. • Must be knowledgeable and able to utilize all assembly tools such as soldering irons, pliers, cutters, strippers, bench drill press, etc. • Ability to read blueprints, work with small parts and use a microscope is required.
