Job Description
• Work with management, electrical engineers, drafters, technicians and manufacturing personnel to develop new products • Generate designs of systems, assemblies and components using 3D CAD • Generate and maintain drawings working within configuration control system • Develop sources for system components • Perform structural and thermal analysis of designs • Support and troubleshoot prototype build • Transition new products from prototype to production • Design fixtures and assembly aids for production • Resolve technical issues as they develop on the production floor • Resolve technical issues that arise in the supply chain • Support proposal efforts
Job Skills
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering • 15 to 20 years hands on experience developing products and working in a production environment • Ability to work well under pressure with tight development schedules • Proficient in 3D CAD • Must work well with other team members • Preferred Qualifications/Experience: Solidworks experience; Structural and thermal analysis experience using computer simulation tools; Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering; Experience developing injection molded parts; Experience developing sheet metal enclosures; Experience developing hermetically sealed products
