Job Description
• Review customer contracts and purchase orders for quality requirements
• Review purchasing inquiries for quality clauses and assign quality clauses as required
• Assign appropriate company VORs for valve actuator materials/items
• Review shipping documentation, DD 250, DD1149, and shipping labels
• Review operation sheets and create Inspection Instructions
• Review manufacturing work instruction (valve actuators and sensors)
• Revise and create quality procedures and quality work Instructions
• Support Inspection with workmanship issues
• Create/Process NMRs for internal and supplier nonconformance’s as required
• Create Request for Disposition (RFD) as required for assigned projects
• Resolve process issues internal and at supplier locations
• Perform assigned internal process and monthly cell audits
• Attend Project kick off meetings and monthly project status meetings
• Support Source Inspection and data review as required
• Perform cert package review for cast and machined metal parts
• Review Detrimental Material Requirements and Certs
• Review Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Inspection Techniques for Castings and Gears
• Review Special Processes Procedures and Test Reports: Magnetic Particle Inspection; Dye Penetrant Inspection; X-Ray; Alloy Verification; Heat Treating; Hardness Testing
Job Skills
• Post-secondary education in Quality, Mechanical Engineering or a similar discipline
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in quality role within a heavy equipment or manufacturing environment
• Experience performing cert package reviews for cast and machined metal parts
• Experience reviewing Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Inspection Techniques for Castings and Gears is preferable
• Experience reviewing special process procedures and test reports
• Knowledge and previous experience implementing and supporting 6S events is preferable
• Experience working with supplier relates issues
• Ability to travel to supplier sites as required
