Job Description
• Under minimum supervision, performs tuning, testing and troubleshooting on complex micro integrated circuits to help ensure production quality standards are met.
• Ability to perform the essential duties & responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Sets-up and performs testing of complex micro integrated circuits for VSWR, isolation, insertion loss, power output, etc.
• Tunes microwave components with use of a microscope and small hand tools and troubleshoots circuits down to component level.
• Recognizes failures and set up problems and determines need for appropriate corrective action.
• Operates a variety of programmable test equipment (i.e. automatic network analyzer, sweep generator, oscilloscope, pulse generator, meters, power supplies, etc.). May also operate ATE’s.
• Works from written and verbal instructions, blueprint, test specs, and/or schematics.
• Records and maintains test data.
• May assist lower level technicians with test set-ups.
• Maintains equipment and work area. Follows safety and quality procedures.
Job Skills
• AAS degree in Electronics Technology or technical school graduate.
• Minimum of five (5) years related experience.
• Must have understanding of MW theory/measurements.
• Ability to work with small hand tools and use microscope.
• Security clearance is required.
• Must possess excellent communication skills with ability to exchange information and interface effectively with employees, customers, and visitors clearly and concisely. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
• Must be able to pass background and drug screening.
