Job Description

• Investigate and analyze quality assurance problems encountered in the manufacture of RF Microwave systems and components, providing assistance in their solutions. Works under general supervision.
• Analyze quality data to detect negative quality trends and assist in developing and implementing corrective and preventive actions and maintain the Corrective and Preventive Action System.
• Performs statistical analysis on processes and product to help drive continual improvement
• Participate in defect prevention and scrap reduction programs. Make recommendations to manufacturing and vendors to prevent recurrence of defects.
• Investigates returned product issues, prepare service complaint investigation reports, and responds to Supplier Corrective Action Requests.
• Develop inspection techniques; prepare quality plans including appropriate statistical techniques.
• Maintain regular contact with vendors, discussing and obtaining adherence to quality assurance procedures, requirements, instructions, and equipment.
• Perform vendor surveys and internal audits.
• Provide support for First Article and Source Inspections.
• Contribute to the preparation and revision of the Quality System Manual and assist in monitoring inspection and test operations to assure conformance to established quality assurance requirements.
• Maintain Quality System documentation including Quality Assurance Work Instructions, Control Plans and Quality Reporting System (metrics)
• Prepare quality assurance reports including charts, graphs, and tables.

Job Skills

• Must be computer literate and proficient in technical writing and public presentations.
• Perform other duties as necessary and as assigned.
• Must be able to work additional hours as needed.
• Four-year technical degree or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5-10 years related experience.
• Die bonding
• Hybrid chip and wire amplifier technology experience
