Job Description

• Support the business in areas of new product development, process improvement, daily production support, analyze and interpret technical data (engineering drawings, specifications, purchase orders etc.) and create shop routings, operations sheets, tools and other necessary processes and equipment to produce a high quality product.
• Usual processes include: milling, lathe operation, honing, plating, CNC Programming, assembly, testing, non-destructive testing, dimensional and visual inspection techniques and electro-mechanical assembly experience.
• Based on customer orders, plan sequences of operations for fabrication and assembly of products
• Ensure efficient and effective manufacturing methods are used and are compatible to available machines
• Specifies, design and/or procures special tooling or equipment required to attain product per customer requirement with in budgeted cost and time
• Programs CNC machines to effectively and efficiently produce desired product
• Participate in Company’s Corrective Action and MRB Boards
• Analyze and resolve fabrication and tooling issues to avoid problems
• Create new or modify existing manufacturing drawings using CAD methodology
• Value engineer existing products and processes to reduce cost, lead time and cycle times
• Complies with all company policies / procedures and all military and contractual requirements

• Strong assembly and metal processing background, i.e., Heat Treating, Surface Finishing, Forging, Casting, etc.

Job Skills

• Knowledge of and experience working with customer and industry-specific requirements/standards across the product life cycle.
• Thorough knowledge of Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio, Project, and other applicable tools
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or related degree, Masters of Science in Engineering a plus.
• 7+ years of hands on manufacturing experience in an aerospace or high precision manufacturing environment with high mix / low to mid volume production rates.
• Extensive machining background in the production of close tolerance highly precision products involving various types of metal alloys.
• CAD/CAM experience (specifically Mastercam, Solidworks, ProWorks, and CATIA) strongly preferred.
