Job Description
- Design and Develop electronic products from concepts through schematic design, supervision of Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) design, design validation testing and troubleshooting.
- Detailed electrical design and simulation, using CAD tools such as OrCAD, Allegro, P-Spice, and hand calculations using engineering formulas and skills.
- Design of analog and digital circuitry for power and communication systems
- System design using Ethernet, serial, USB, CAN and video
- Interface and work with team members across all disciplines and levels within the organization – operations, systems engineering, business development, etc.
- Planning and performance of testing per MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464, MIL-STD-1275 and similar specifications
Job Skills
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering / Master of Science preferred
- OrCad using CIS experience is a MUST
- Experience designing and implementing the following devices is preferred: network processors, FPGAs, SBC systems
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a United States Government Security Clearance
- 5+ years design and development experience with 3+ years in the defense or a related industry
- Posses high level of analytical ability used to solve complex problems
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively within small and large project team structures
- Possess a strong understanding of the applicable codes (MIL Standards, etc.)
