Job Description
- The travel requirement is 60% to 70% global.
- Strong electronics knowledge.
- Knowledge of accelerators or cyclotrons are highly desired.
- Serve as company expert on technical matters at customer sites during installations, repairs and maintenance service calls
- Resolve complex problems requiring independent action and decision making
- Evaluates operational systems and recommends modifications to eliminate causes of malfunctions or changes in system requirements
- Diagnosis and repair of equipment including recommendations for modifications to improve component performance
- Follow engineering practices and procedures in analyzing technical issues or data and provide evaluation reports
- Assist in development, construction and testing of new equipment and assemblies with lead engineers
- Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks
- Performs all testing (electrical, vacuum, leak, high pressure) and oven baking on a variety of parts
Job Skills
- Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering preferred; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong ability to communicate technical information at various levels
- Must be able to travel up to 70% of the time, international and domestic
- 3 – 4 years of experience in engineering, fabrication, testing of electronic devices and field service support.
- Experience in high voltage and vacuum systems highly desired
- Knowledge of Inventory software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software: MS Office, SAP.
