Job Description
- Ensures proper operation of machinery and other mechanical equipment through the adherence and completion of preventative maintenance.
- Repairs/maintains machinery.
- Maintains parts and supply inventories through cycle counts and records. Anticipates the need for parts and supplies. Replenishes spare parts and supplies orders as needed.
- Manages 24/7 resolve to maintenance related issue in multiple facilities
- Develop team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short & long-term performance goals.
- Develop and overseeing of the departmental budgets and capital
- Ability to resolve and investigate sources of breakdowns/problems with machinery through troubleshooting (electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, etc).
- Effective organizing and scheduling of maintenance mechanics.
- Recommends and schedules repairs to facility and facility equipment.
- Develops to cost saving projects.
- Key member of the team that oversees plant safety as well as food safety/quality programs (HAACP, GMP, etc…)
Job Skills
- Strong computer skills (MS Office, PM Software, PLC)
- Previous Project management experience
- Strong Electrical ability and technical understanding.
- Ability to read drawings and electrical schematics.
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Hands on Equipment Maintenance experience
- Ability to train and lead
- Ammonia refrigeration experience is a plus
- High School/technical Diploma required
- B.A. in technical capacity preferred or related work experience.
- 3 – 5 years maintenance supervisory experience in a food processing manufacturing environment
